I shudder ran down the stairs to see him and he started jumping around on three legs to make him escape out the back door (especially cats and dogs instinctively run away even if they are sick), I managed to get and immediately knew he had broken his leg, (actually it was broken in two places) so that after the emergency vet visits, x-rays, painkillers, 24 hours of hospital care, bolts to hold legs in place, 6 weeks in plaster and more couples follow up vet appointment girl I luckily pretty full health back and his legs still and I was given a bill for £ 800!

Well, that’s six years ago, can you imagine the price will be charged now – you can probably double that!

The reason I tell this story is to highlight the fact that insurance is very important for your dog is an absolute and priorities. I can not imagine how I would find that money if I did not have my cats insured, I am grateful that I have it. Over the years with my dog already quite a few occasions where I have to rely on my insurance to take care of unexpected expenses. I also never let my puppies go to new homes grew up without insurance, after all you will not drive your car without insurance or buying a new house without it so why risk your dog’s health by not having Pet Insurance?

Since I have several dogs I am very aware of how much money to pay for good quality Pet Insurance. Generally, they all include cover almost the same standard but the most important thing for me is the cost of Vet. In simple terms this means that if your dog develops an ongoing illness / problem then they are only covered for 12 months, after that you are at own expense
wise! Short term this is an option for people who want to save a little and reduce premiums.
